Last December, Sophia was considering abortion when she walked through our doors alone and afraid. The father of her baby had just been deployed overseas, and she was struggling financially.
After a positive pregnancy test and seeing her baby on the ultrasound, we helped her apply for Medicaid and financial assistance. Relieved, Sophia decided to keep her baby.
She also enrolled in our motherhood classes. Sophia’s healthy baby boy was born in August.
“This place was a saving grace for me in my time of need,” said Sophia. “Everybody was so nice and helpful, and I felt extremely supported.”
