In honor of Father’s Day, I want to share a story that captures why Life Network’s Fatherhood Program exists.
Not long ago, one of our dads, Peter*, struck up a conversation with a new client, Jim*, in the waiting room. Peter spoke about how life-changing the Fatherhood Program had been for him and how it gave him tools, confidence, and community.
Jim’s response stopped us in our tracks:
“Wow! I didn’t know places like this were here for me.”
That one sentence says so much.
Too often, dads are ignored during the parenting journey. They feel unsure, unseen, and unsupported. But thanks to your generosity, Life Network is showing up for men like Peter and Jim with practical help, godly one-on-one mentorship, and meaningful relationships.
Additionally, our monthly DadBros events are building a brotherhood of dads and dads-to-be. There’s food, laughter, games, music – but most importantly, connection.
At one recent event, a new dad came in nervous and reserved. He stuck close to his Fatherhood Coach at first, but by the end of the night, he was laughing, making connections, and asking how soon he could come back.
That’s the power of presence, and it’s this kind of engagement that can lead to a generational difference in the families you help to serve.
