Maya spent eight years in an abusive relationship. When it finally ended, her ex took advantage of her in a vulnerable moment. She found out she was pregnant, told no one, and panicked.

She made three abortion appointments. Each time, she left without going through with it. At the third, the doctor said something she couldn’t shake: “Obviously you don’t want to do this. I’ve done this for years and I constantly hear women say they regret it for the rest of their life.”
